FAQs

  • Dinners are scheduled on weekends throughout the season from April through December. We open reservations two or three months at a time, on a Saturday the month before. Reservations remain open until dinners are sold out.

Reservations are made through our Tock page. You’ll need to create an account. All that’s required to create a Tock account is your name, email address, and phone number. Tock provides a secure way for you to pay for your reservation when you make it. We offer a full refund for any cancellations made with at least one week’s notice. For cancellations made with less than a week’s notice, but more than 72-hours’ notice, we will refund 50%. No refund is offered with less than 72-hours’ notice. We ask that cancellations be made as early as possible to give us the best opportunity to fill the seats. Exceptions to the cancellation policy may be used for special events. Check the description of the special event for information on the cancellation policy for that event.

  • The 2023 dinner price is $115 per person for all nights April through November. The ticket price includes a gathering time either in the garden or at the cabin 30 minutes before dinner, multi-course dinner, and nonalcoholic drinks such as coffee and tea. Each prepaid reservation will be charged a 20% service charge, 100% of which will be distributed as gratuity for servers and support staff. Prices for special events vary. For information on pricing for a special event, please visit the Special Events page.

  • Due to the popularity of the dinners, advanced payment is required to hold a reservation.

  • Our farm table dinners are meant to be a community dining experience shared around a common table. To preserve this experience for all guests, we take reservations from groups from 1 to 8 persons in size. We will take reservations for each dinner until approximately 36 seats are filled. Larger groups of 15-36 who wish to enjoy the farm table dinner experience together may contact us for information on private parties. Email us at livingkitchendinners@gmail.com for more information. We have a limited number of evenings open for private dinners, usually on Thursdays. We will inform you of available nights when you contact us.

  • We offer reasonable accommodations for dietary restrictions. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, as well as accommodations for food allergies, can be made available for any dinner. Restrictions may be limited for some dinners. Be sure to check the dinner description for details on limitations. We respectfully request that you inform of us dietary needs at least 48 hours before the dinner you plan to attend.

  • Older children and teens are welcome but please understand this can be a grueling and uncomfortable experience for a youngster who is not used to dining for several hours, not to mention grueling and uncomfortable for the person sitting next to them. Out of respect for your own experience and that of our other guests, we ask that you be mindful of this. The ticket price and menu are the same for children.

  • Dinners are served on a screened-in back porch at the cabin on our farm. There is no air conditioning, so we urge guests to dress accordingly. In months when the temperature drops below comfortable levels, we cover the porch with plastic and place space heaters around to add heat. Some guests choose to dress up, others prefer casual dress. Our recommendation is that you choose whatever is comfortable for you, keeping in mind that you are coming to a working farm.

  • Given the limited availability, we no longer offer gift certificates. If you would like to gift a dinner to someone you can make a reservation for them and transfer it to them using the Transfer option on Tock.

  • We are a small, seasonal business, dependent on the sales of the dinners to operate the farm all year. To that end, we do our best to make sure every seat is filled at each dinner. Cancellations that are made without enough notice are hard to fill, even when we have a wait list for a dinner. Therefore, we offer a full refund for any cancellations made with at least one week’s notice. For cancellations made with less than a week’s notice, but more than 72-hours’ notice, we will refund 50%. No refund is offered with less than 72-hours notice. We ask that cancellations be made as early as possible to give us the best opportunity to fill the seats. Exceptions to the cancellation policy may be used for special events. Check the description of the special event for information on the cancellation policy for that event.

  • Paying close attention to weather is a way of life for us. We take it seriously, and understand that there are many moods to Oklahoma weather. On the day of a farm table dinner, we check the weather report frequently. We do not cancel in the event of rain, or other normal weather situations.

The porch is covered and protected. If it becomes apparent that we will be in the path of severe weather (i.e., tornadoes, ice), we will pay close attention and make a decision whether or not to hold the event. If we decide to cancel, we will contact you by email or text (using the cellphone number provided at the time of your reservation) and offer options to honor your paid admission to the dinner. If we choose not to cancel, but the weather report concerns you enough that you feel it is best for you not to attend, please email us at livingkitchendinners@gmail.com or call us at 918-284-8169 and we will let you know what options are available to you.

  • We are not a restaurant, per se. We offer farm table dinners for approximately 36 guests on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from April through December. Guests make reservations for the evening ahead of time and all are seated at the specific time listed for the dinner. Our dinners are prepared on the farm in our certified commercial kitchen.

  • We are not certified organic, but we use only organic farming practices. We strive to grow all vegetables used in the dinners on our farm, but occasionally we have to supplement. When we do, we buy from another local farm. When it comes to produce grown elsewhere, for us, local trumps organic. Wherever possible, we choose local organic produce to use, but if organic is unavailable from a local farm, we will choose produce from a local farm that is not certified organic, but uses responsible growing practices. Our animals and the meat we purchase from other producers, are all free-range, and humanely raised.

  • You may visit our farm by making a reservation for and attending a farm table dinner.

  • Though we once sold produce and prepared foods at Cherry Street Farmers’ Market and offered a CSA, we are no longer doing either. If you are interested in a CSA, we urge you to check out Three Springs Farm, which offers seasonal weekly pick ups at a location in Brookside in Tulsa.

  • We are located about one-quarter mile off of historic Route 66 just west of the small town of Depew, OK. Driving time from Tulsa is about 45 minutes, from Oklahoma City is about one hour, and from Stillwater, about one hour. You can find us here on Google maps: Living Kitchen. Directions are sent to paid guests a few days before the dinner.

  • Some guests have had luck getting an Uber or Lyft driver to agree to a trip to Living Kitchen. We also recommend Sky Limo and Galaxy Limo in Tulsa, both of which have made numerous trips to farm table dinners and are willing to drive guests out. Back Stage Limo service in OKC has also made the trip. If you contract with anyone to bring a group by limo or bus, please ask the company to call us for information on access to the cabin through our gate, which is too low for some larger buses.

  • Bristow (to the east) and Stroud (to the west) are the nearest larger towns, both of which are approximately 8 or 9 miles away. The Happy Hermit guest cottage in Bristow is listed on AirBnB, as is the Historic Route 66 Guesthouse. Evergreen RV Park in Bristow has space for RVs. They also allow tent camping. There is an apartment in Stroud listed on AirBnB called The Locker and there is a Hampton Inn & Suites right on the interstate there as well. And, approximately 10 minutes outside of Stroud is Tatanka Ranch which has guest cabins.

  • We do not cater anywhere off the farm. We do offer private parties for groups of 15-36 at the farm on a limited basis from April through December. Contact us for more information. The best way to request more information is to email us at LivingKitchenDinners@gmail.com.
